Over 1,000 sq ft? Nice. Projects that size deserve a conversation, so give us a call or send the form below and we'll price it properly.
Railing costs vary significantly by style, material, and length. We'll provide exact railing pricing as part of your custom quote. Think of the square footage estimate as the deck portion of your budget, with railing as an add-on.
Estimates shown are approximate and for planning purposes only. Actual pricing depends on site conditions, structural requirements, material selections, permitting, and design details. Final pricing is provided after an in-person consultation.
Beyond the Deck
Want a Year-Round Outdoor Living Space?
A covered deck or outdoor living area is a whole different kind of project, and a whole different kind of upgrade. Because it depends on how it ties into your home's existing structure, and often requires architectural engineering, we handle these as fully custom builds. We work closely with a local architect through the design process to make sure it's done right.
If you're picturing a space you and your friends can enjoy in every season, rain, shine, or snow, let's talk about what's possible.

Deck Pricing Questions
How Deck Costs Work
How much does it cost to build a deck?
In Kittitas County, a new composite deck build with Squared Up Builds typically runs $80 to $100 per square foot, which covers framing and composite decking. Railing is priced separately by style. As a reference point, a 300 sq ft new deck usually lands between $24,000 and $30,000 before railing.
How much does it cost to re-deck?
Re-decking an existing structure typically runs $50 to $70 per square foot when the existing framing is in good, reusable condition. If joists, posts, beams, or hardware need replacing, that framing work is priced separately on a cost-plus basis and confirmed on site.
Why isn't railing included in the estimate?
Because railing is where deck budgets swing the most. A cedar picket rail and a frameless glass system are very different investments, and the length of railing your deck needs depends on its shape, not just its square footage. We quote railing specifically so your number is real, not padded.
What affects the final price?
Site conditions, structural requirements, material selections, permitting, and design details. That's why the estimator gives a range and why we always confirm pricing with a free in-person consultation before any work begins.
